Cryptogenic Stroke or stroke of unknown cause impacts approximately 200,000 people each year. Sylvia is one of them. Using a long-term cardiac monitor, Sylvia’s doctors discovered she had Atrial Fibrillation (AF), an irregular heart rhythm, known to cause a stroke. Following her AF diagnosis, Sylvia’s doctors were able to take additional steps to minimize her risk of having a second stroke.
